What is the Stantonian Association of Interesting People?

My friends, this blog is dedicated to those men and women who go out of their way to be remarkably interesting. In other words, all of those fascinating Stanton students (or, in the rarest of cases, students from other schools) can join this blog to appreciate creative writing developed by us students. I, Braden Beaudreau, the creator of this blog, will post my past, present, and future works on this website, and those who join and comment will get the same opportunities. May all of you live in happiness and peace, and never forget: being interesting is the only way to stand out from the masses.

Home

I cannot find a place to rest my head
Where I may repose in the quiet and feel wholly
Serene.

This place is the place in which all comes together to one
And that which does not is no matter because it will all
Heal with time.

A place to be at place in,
To belong and feel connected
To an ideal extending past your own existence,
A concept that ought to be a tangible reality
But all I find upon my search is floating away
Effortlessly.

Running underwater, I cannot retrieve what I hope
Whether I close my eyes and ignore the difference in solitude
Or whether I mold myself with indifference to the difference
If only to be somehow in the right place, at the right time.

When all is transient and untethered,
I can enclose myself in the shadows of my mind and wish to be
Home.

  1. This poem is kind of a metaphysical description... definition?... of "home" and then a few bits about missing/wanting one.

I like it. Its a good way of describing those first few feelings in college.
