Close your eyes.
Cast away stress, expression,
Melt away.
Now
Stand upright, arms outstretched,
Hoist them higher, pick up the sky,
Slightly straining
Breathe in gently, as to not
Harm the air. Now
Lift your head up, hands apart,
Grasping, clasping,
Embracing breeze,
Caress the wind, running across, around
Canyons of fingers, forests of hair,
Rivers of unconsciousness.
Swiftly shifting
Amidst shackles of sorrow
As they shatter.
You are, now,
Nothing,
but all,
Culminating until
Release.
What is the Stantonian Association of Interesting People?
My friends, this blog is dedicated to those men and women who go out of their way to be remarkably interesting. In other words, all of those fascinating Stanton students (or, in the rarest of cases, students from other schools) can join this blog to appreciate creative writing developed by us students. I, Braden Beaudreau, the creator of this blog, will post my past, present, and future works on this website, and those who join and comment will get the same opportunities. May all of you live in happiness and peace, and never forget: being interesting is the only way to stand out from the masses.
This is absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeletewoah...i feel completely peaceful right now. I feel like i followed the instructions of the poem and ended up absolutely content. The structure and punctuation really slow the poem down and emphasize everything. Great imagery as well.
