I’ve fallen and I can’t get up
Because there’s no ground to stand on.
I’m falling through the air
At speeds unimaginable
And yet still increasing.
I’ve taken a step too many,
Gone over the edge.
Head swimming, body flying,
Time running
Out.
I’m still falling…
And falling…
And falling…
In love with you.
What is the Stantonian Association of Interesting People?
My friends, this blog is dedicated to those men and women who go out of their way to be remarkably interesting. In other words, all of those fascinating Stanton students (or, in the rarest of cases, students from other schools) can join this blog to appreciate creative writing developed by us students. I, Braden Beaudreau, the creator of this blog, will post my past, present, and future works on this website, and those who join and comment will get the same opportunities. May all of you live in happiness and peace, and never forget: being interesting is the only way to stand out from the masses.

YOU falling in love?
ReplyDeleteI doubt the speaker is you. Totally and completely not you.
But I like the pace, despite the clicheness of much of it...
its structure works well.

ReplyDeleteIntentional? As a satirization, or a "I can just do this cliche better then most people?"
ReplyDeleteIf by "cliche" one means love poetry, then yes, it is wonderfully cliche. It seems as if any happy view on love expressed on here is considered cliche. Not a bad poem at all, though much less dense than most of your work
